Aerial Camera Systems Achieves Worksafe Contractor Membership
Aerial Camera Systems (ACS) are happy to announce that we have recently achieved membership of the SMAS’ Worksafe Contractor scheme (as recognised by SSIP). This membership demonstrates the ACS positive approach to Health and Safety.
Safety Schemes In Procurement (SSIP) was founded in May 2009 following the Government report on Accelerating the SME economic engine: through transparent, simple and strategic procurement. SSIP aims to streamline prequalification and encourage straightforward mutual recognition between its Member Schemes. The SSIP mission statement is ‘to act as an umbrella organisation to facilitate and maximise mutual or cross-recognition of health and safety assessments between SSIP member schemes, wherever practicable to do so’.
Safety Management Advisory Service (SMAS) is a Registered Member of SSIP. ACS worked closely with SMAS to undertake a Health & Safety assessment across the organisation. SMAS have minimum standards that they assessed ACS against, which are clearly set out in the SSIP Core Criteria.
Benefits of the Worksafe Contractor Scheme
There are many
benefits to the SMAS Worksafe Accreditation and SSIP. Since the launch of SSIP many businesses now adopt an SSIP approach to Health & Safety pre-qualification and will only use contractors who hold a valid an in date Scheme certificate issued by an SSIP Member Scheme. Holding a valid SSIP Member Scheme certificate means that ACS have demonstrated our capability by meeting the SSIP ‘core criteria’.
ACS Commitment to Health & Safety
ACS feel that achieving the member status demonstrates our positive approach and commitment to Health & Safety. We hope that it will inspire even greater confidence in our clients (existing and prospective) whilst keeping our expert crews and clients safe.
